I had an issue with the Veterans Administration. They cut off my medical supplies for in home medicine treatment and wanted me to travel 65 miles to West Los Angeles or 91 miles to Bakersfield 3 times a month. At this time in my life, I didn’t own an automobile and was relying on a relative to take me. I went through all the procedures to protest getting my supplies back. The V.A. had no response in a timely matter. I met Representative Whitesides at a veteran’s event and was given a contact in his office. His caseworker was very welcoming and understanding of my predicament and fixed the problem. I am now receiving my supplies due to her hard work and dedication.
